LiveScan Fee Schedule

There are 2 Required Fee Categories:

Category #1 - Government Fees - are the required government fees.

These fees are collected by the LiveScan Operator and forwarded to the state [CA Department of Justice (CA DOJ)] or federal agency [Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI)]. In turn, these agencies will process the fingerprints and submit the results to the requesting organization (likely your employer, school, or volunteer organization). Not all organizations require both agencies to process your prints. As such, your organization will determine which processing entity (FBI or CA DOJ, or both) is required and will note that on the LiveScan form (which they must provide to you).

Category #2 - Operator Fees - is the LiveScan Operator fee.

This fee is determined individually by each LiveScan business/operator. Standard fees in the State of CA vary between $50 - $100, with some charging more and others less.

Government Fees

CA DOJ Fee - $32.00

FBI Fee - $17.00

Combined DOJ + FBI Fee = $49.00 (if both are required)

WhiteBeard Operator Fees

LiveScan Rolling Fee = $50

Travel Fee (in Pasadena, CA) = $25.00 flat fee

Travel Fee (outside of Pasadena, CA) = $25.00 flat fee + an additional $1.25 per mile one-way

These fees do not always apply.

All fees will be discussed and agreed to prior to any appointment being set. Our goal is to make sure you are aware of all fees and the total cost of the LiveScan before scheduling the appointment.

Appointments After 7pm = additional $25.00

Last Minute or Emergency Appointments between 10pm and 7am = additional $75.00

LiveScan appointment scheduled for 4pm in Duarte, CA that requires both FBI and CA DOJ clearance.
- $32.00 CA DOJ
- $17.00 FBI
- $25.00 Operator Travel Fee + $12.50 Mileage Fee (est. 10 miles from Pasadena to Duarte)
- $50.00 Operator LiveScan Fee
- = $136.50 Total Cost

Scenario #4

LiveScan appointment scheduled for 9pm in Duarte, CA that requires both FBI and CA DOJ clearance.
